INTER PACIFIC UNIVERSITY
Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management

Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) combines theoretical study with practical applications and experience. As well as developing a broad understanding of the human resource function, students also participate in workplace learning subjects which provide real-life, practical experience.

The innovative structure and flexibility of the course offers an optimum blend of theory and practice, and effectively prepares students for careers in both the private and public sectors.

Students will be equipped with both soft skills for working with people, and the hard skills required to develop and implement strategies and policies that contribute towards organizational performance. The course includes a range of specialist subjects related to the HR function (e.g., industrial relations, labor economics, employment law, organizational behavior, change management, leadership) specifically added to enhance student employability and help broaden career horizons after graduation.

The flexibility of the course allows students to select additional subjects that would help realize their career aspirations or meet specific industry needs. Three workplace learning subjects designed to facilitate integration between university learning and practice in a real work context further ensure graduates are highly sought after by employers.

Learners are required to complete a total of 124 credit hours for completion of the BBAHR program. Learners must satisfy the General Education requirements by completing 42 credit hour of college-level course work that includes social science courses to help them develop the critical thinking skills necessary to fill responsible leadership positions. The remaining 82 credit hours are earned from the core, elective, concentrations and university orientation course. A full-time student will take an average of one and a half month to complete 3 credits.

Learner’s can begin their course of study when they are ready and within defined parameters progress at your own pace. Learners may take more than one course at a time, however it is recommend that you do not, at least until you become entirely comfortable with your study system. The distance learning element of the program guarantees that learning takes place without any sort of disruption to learner careers.
